YMCA East London and YMCA London South West have undergone a recent merger and are now one organisation with a growing presence across South, South West and East London. YMCA London South West is part of the affiliated YMCA Christian Movement, offering opportunities to young people and their communities to develop in mind, body and spirit and so help to fulfil their potential.  It aims to reflect this holistic approach in the way it recognises the value of each individual staff member and enables them to make their unique contribution to the organisation’s mission.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will be to strive to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation, and to ensure that all Children and Families services are delivered in line with the regulatory and organisational requirements, starting with an operational review of the department, and recommending a plan to address the Areas identified in the Job Purpose – specifically, systems of management of each function, understanding and meeting the relevant strategic objectives, improvement of quality of service and customer care, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring relevance.

The candidate will need to have a lot of drive and enthusiasm for children and family services, be NNEB or NVQ Level 4 (Childcare) qualified (or equivalent) and have significant experience and knowledge of OFSTED requirements, Child Protection guidance and Safer Recruitment.
