Based at: YMCA White House, TW12
Hours of work: Fixed term wef February 2017-23 February 2018. 15 days preparation before holiday periods, 7 hours per day; 25 days face-to-face delivery during school holidays; 7.5 hours per day (approximately 2 days per holiday week) between February 2017 and February 2018
Hourly salary: £12.50 per hour

We are seeking a MLD Project Co-Ordinator to be a part of the Youth Work staff team. You will lead the support worker team providing holiday activities for a maximum of 10 children and young people aged 8 – 18 with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD) and provide direct support to 2 children and young people ensuring that they are included in the holiday provision, whatever their individual needs and that these needs are met in the setting; liaising with parents and carers concerning their care. You will be required to plan, deliver and review the programme of work that is provided to ensure it is a high quality provision; activities are stimulating and age/skill appropriate and inclusive to all.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working and providing support to children/young people with/or adults with Moderate Learning Disabilities; different social, emotional & physical needs including autism and ADHD; experience of co-ordinating and delivering engaging positive activities for children and young people. It is essential to hold an NVQ Qualification in Playwork, Youth Work or equivalent and knowledge of actions to take in respect of safeguarding concerns.
