Hours of Work: 9.30pm to 7.30am, seven nights on, seven nights off
Hourly Salary: £20,467.00 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Night Support Worker at YMCA Surbiton. We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual who can ensure consistent levels of support standards between the day and night teams. Managing a small team of Night Support Workers, you will recruit and induct new team members; supervise and monitor staff performance; provide front of house and reception services, and deal with persons presenting as homeless; ensure the security and safety of the building and its residents; provide support and advice to residents, who may be dealing with a wide range of issues.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the problems facing homeless people; experience of dealing with a wide range of people; experience of recording and report writing; experience of dealing with conflict and challenging situations. It is essential for candidates to be able to recognise and communicate best practice; to be non-judgemental and to be able to confront difficult situations and reconcile different viewpoints. It would be beneficial for candidates to have experience of cash handling; supervising staff and working in a leadership role; and providing support to people with a variety of needs.
