Hours of Work: Fixed Term – 40 hours per week during Summer Holiday, (18 July 2016 – 1 September 2016) and 30 hours preparation prior to playscheme commencing
Hourly Salary: £10.28 per hour

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in the planning, delivery, and review of high quality childcare and play opportunities for children at YMCA White House. This is a brand new Holiday Playscheme and will provide a place for the children to come and play, explore, build on friendships and enjoy the outdoors. You will be responsible for: creating an inclusive and safe environment for children; reporting and recording information about the setting; supporting and developing staff; ensuring that the setting operates within its budgetary parameters, marketing and promoting the Holiday Playscheme, planning and delivering activites that spark creativity and imagination in children and maintaining accurate financial records.
We are looking for someone with a playwork background, who is able to lead on this provision, be creative in their approach to a variety of play opportunities, and provide a range of activities to meet the needs of children of different ages and skill levels. It is essential to have: an NVQ Level 3 (Playwork/Childcare) qualification or equivalent; an understanding of the Playwork Principles and Statutory EYFS requirements; knowledge of child protection processes; experience of leading and developing creative activities and play opportunities for children. This role is subject to safeguarding checks including a Disclosure Barring Service check in line with YMCA LSW procedures.
