Based at: Kingston Community School
Hours of Work: 27 ½ hours per week (term time only), Monday-Friday, 2.30pm – 6.30pm operational with children and 12pm – 1.30pm administration time.
Annual Salary: £12,212.64 per annum

We are looking for dedicated Afterschool Co-ordinator to be part of the Children and Family Work Staff team which provides high quality childcare and play opportunities at our YMCA sites. The Afterschool Clubs provide a place for children to come and play, explore, build on friendships and experience the warm, safe feeling of our Afterschool club.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Afterschool Co-ordinator to lead and motivate a team in providing a welcoming, fun play space for children after their school day. We are seeking someone who has experience of working with children aged between 4-12 year olds; who understands the importance of play and how to build on children’s experiences; can offer creative and positively challenging activities. You will be required to lead on the development and quality of the setting, the creation and implementation of activity plans. You will need to possess effective verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate well with parents or carers. A Playwork Qualification is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. This role is subject to safeguarding checks including a Disclosure Barring Service check in line with YMCALSW procedures.
