Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours of work: 40 hours per week,to include some evenings and weekends
Annual salary: £23,015 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to help ensure that YMCA St Paul’s Group meets its aims and objectives by providing operational management of the Health and Wellbeing department, with a hands-on approach, that includes all Health and Wellbeing functions: membership, sales, gym, classes and community health and wellbeing services. They will look to promote, encourage and increase membership and participation in physical activity classes and programmes at YMCA Hawker to encourage growth and development of the Health & Wellbeing department.
We are looking for a professional with excellent knowledge of the Leisure/Health and Fitness Industry holding Level 3 fitness qualification approved by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS). The person should have a good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and risk assessments. He/she should have worked in an environment serving the public providing a range of services and handled conflict situations with a focus on customer care. To be numerate and handle cash, credit card transactions and reconciling tills. The person should be a team player, overseeing the work of others and should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. He/she should be proficient in using IT systems including working with databases, Microsoft Office, email and internet. He/she should be able to work in shifts which will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
