Area Health & Wellbeing Manager

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Annual salary: £27,000.00 per annum

YMCA London South West and YMCA East London have recently merged. This new organisation which is called YMCA London South West has resulted in a growing presence across South, South West and East London.  The Association is part of the affiliated YMCA Christian Movement, offering opportunities to young people and their communities to develop in mind, body and spirit in order to fulfil their potential.  

A new opportunity has arisen for a talented Area Health and Wellbeing Manager to provide hands-on leadership, direction and operational management of the Health and Wellbeing functions – Gym facilities, Classes, and Community Health and Wellbeing services.

Working with the Strategic Lead for Health and Wellbeing and the Area Director, the postholder will ensure the teams meet their Vision and relevant strategic aims and objectives, as well as ensuring that they meet the legislative and regulatory requirements.

Experience of delivering high-quality service provisions, and excellent standards of customer care is essential as is identifying growth opportunities and ensuring the services in the local area are relevant for the community they are supporting.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in a health and fitness related discipline. He/she will bring an innovative approach to managing outreach health and wellbeing facilities.
