Learning and Development Co-ordinator

Based at: our Corporate Office in Surbiton
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Annual salary: £24,000 per annum
Closing date: midday on Tuesday 15 December 2015

We are seeking at Learning and Development Co-ordinator to assess the needs, propose solutions and co-ordinate learning and development of all workers (paid and unpaid) of the Association. The postholder will work to develop the knowledge, skills and effectiveness of all staff and volunteers in delivering the Association’s Strategic and Departmental Plans. You will also be required to undertake other duties within the HR Department, as required.

The Postholder will develop a training matrix, ensuring that this is regularly updated, and that all staff groups have undertaken training identified as “core” for their work area; promote a positive organisational culture in relation to training and ownership of learning and development; work with line managers to facilitate staff opportunities for secondments/ work experience in other service areas; monitor and evaluate all training run internally and externally and analyse evaluations of training undertaken, and prepare reports as requested.

It is essential to have knowledge of motivational methods to encourage involvement in learning; experience of working in a Human Resources and/or Learning & Development function; recording, monitoring & collating statistics and report writing. It would be beneficial to be CIPD/CPP qualified, or working towards this.
